Marketing Manager


We have an opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join our business, which is currently seeing exciting growth.  This is a full mix marketing role, working across on and offline marketing as an integral part of the team, focusing on the development of our businesses.

We need the Marketing Manager to continue to drive forward the direction of our marketing strategy - creating industry leading channels, with engaging and relevant content to support the development of our brand across our various business interests.  This role combines both service and product based Marketing, predominantly to B2B customers.

The ideal candidate will need to work autonomously within the business and be comfortable creating a wide variety of marketing content in-house with the support of our product design team.

This is a 12 month contract with the potential for the right candidate to make this a permanent position.

Role summary

  • Developing the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives.
  • Event management
  • Creation and implementation of the annual Marketing plan on time and within budget, reporting any variances to Directors.
  • Managing all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department.
  • Co-ordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities.
  • Overseeing the company’s marketing budget.
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans (online & traditional) marketing
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.
  • Analysing potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing.
  • Support the sales strategy of the business as required

Main responsibilities

Digital & social

  • Overseeing the social media strategy for the company ensuring it aligns with the company’s brand.
  • Manage and co-ordinate all social channels- curation and content creation.  Management and implementation of social media paid for campaigns
  • Ownership, management and maintenance of the company website including all associated activities ensuring optimisation for SEO, PPC campaigns etc..
  • Managing and implementing an annual SEO audit
  • Use digital analytics to analyse, track and measure success and refine strategy for the website, social media and content marketing
  • Engaging with customers using social media.
  • Keeping up to date with advances in social media technology and the latest social media platforms.
  • Maximising followers on social media platforms
  • Ensuring that approaches to social media are relevant and appropriate for each medium.
  • Monitoring social media for customer comments both positive and negative.
  •  Building reporting frameworks to evaluate return on investment on the various platforms.
  • Analysing social media insights to guide future social media campaigns.
  • Developing a content calendar across all platforms ensuring a constant supply of relevant content.
  • Searching social media for off-diary stories and content.

 Content creation

  • Content creation for a range of platforms and publications.
  • Serving as both an internal and external champion of the brand ensuring all communication is consistent with the core brand values
  • Oversee the production of all Marketing collateral, ensuring brand conformity, imagery and copy is maintained

 PR, Communications & Events

  • Ensure that all communications are linked to the company vision strategy and branding criteria
  • Identification, co-ordination and creation of support material for events
  • Organise and management the Event Management process
  • Strategy, management and co-ordination of all PR activity

 Resource Management

  • Pro-actively manage, monitor and review relationships with all third party providers against deliverables and budget
  • Demonstrate leadership to ensure marketing tasks are delegated and completed.

 Reporting

  • Collate and present the monthly performance report providing insights and recommendations to the business to inform future spend and activity
  • Use digital analytics to analyse, track and measure success and refine strategy for the website, social media and content marketing
  • Monitor competitor and market trends and feed this into the Marketing strategy, informing other relevant parties within the team e.g. sales
  • Lead regular progress meeting with Directors.
  • Propose and review a financial year budget to achieve plan.

 Internal communication

  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
  • Drive an engagement strategy and ensure all areas of the business contribute to the ongoing promotion of the business
  • Holding workshops for the wider marketing team to explain the importance of social media and how it can impact our campaigns


Qualifications & Skills

Degree in Marketing (or related field) or CIM professional qualification

5+ years experience in a Marketing Management role

Experience in both service and product marketing would be advantageous

Must have strong copy writing skills
